Your Safety Online

Does AMA have a privacy policy?

Why yes we do, thank-you for asking. You can find it here.

I've found some content that is objectionable, or someone is being rude/harrassing/aggressive. What can I do about it?

If you believe someone is not following our rules and guidelines, please use our online form to send in a report. We will then investigate and take action where appropriate.

Who has access to my email address?

No member on the site has access to your email address. About My Age has your email address for the purpose of validation when you first sign up, and sending you notifications if you've elected to receive them. We operate a strict NO SPAM policy.

Is my profile information visible outside of About My Age?

No, members need to be logged in to see anything you enter into your profile or leave as a comment on the site. This also means your profile will not show up in search engines (such as Google, etc).

I'm concerned about my privacy. Don't all social networking sites share their members information?

Well firstly we're not your average social networking site, AMA is first and foremost a community. Secondly we take your privacy very seriously indeed and never share information, except in the very unlikely event that we are required to do so by law.

If you win a competition then you might have to send through some details, but you'll always be asked first and anyway, how else would you get your prize?

Please read our privacy policy if you have any other concerns.

I've heard that you read my emails / login to my profile / follow my every move / read my mind / etc. Is this true?

No, it's not true at all.

From time-to-time we've had people try to spread false rumours and these are some of the things they've said (well, maybe not the mind reading). However, there is no basis in truth whatsoever. Please read or privacy policy if you have any further concerns.
